Description of the wine Riesling Clos Häuserer 1996
This marl limestone soil is located just under the Hengst vineyard. It enjoys a dry and warm micro-climate, well protected from the winds. The richness of the marl produced a crisp and powerful 96 riesling, with a strong minerality. This wine deserves much further ageing.

The Clos Häuserer of Wintzenheim
This soil rich in clay and chalk gives an important structure to the Riesling grown in the Clos Haüserer. Although this vineyard benefits from a warm and precocious climate, ripeness is achieved much later than the surrounding terroirs.
