Description of the wine Muscat 2011
This wine originates 100% from the Herrenweg vineyard, now dominated with the Muscat d’Alsace grape variety that we prefer to the Ottonel, less structured and quicker ripening. The Gravelly soil of the Herrenweg is very precocious and it shows in the style of the wine: very aromatic! The 2011 vintage was harvested perfectly healthy, relatively early in order to avoid excessive richness and, despite a fermentation that lasted until Christmas, the wine clarified quickly and became very approachable. This is the wine for summer !

Tasting notes
02/2012 : Big bold floral nose, unmistakably Muscat. Despite spending all its time on the heavy lees, the nose is already fully open. The palate is elegant, displaying long lasting white flower aromas. The little sweetness helps to cover the natural bitterness of this grape and makes it the perfect wine for a summer spicy dish.

The Herrenweg of Turckheim
The wines from Herrenweg of Turckheim are always very aromatic, advanced in their development and are always defined by a very ripe acidity and opulent fruit. The wines from Herrenweg are accessible and generous in their youth and although they are often best enjoyed at this stage can surprise 10 or even 20 years later.
